Where is Judson Hill?  That was the big question yesterday at St. Anne’s Catholic Church where the 50+ Club had its forum.  Candidates from all levels were there including Stan Wise, running for re-election to the State Utility commission, and Brent Brown, running for the State Labor Commission.  Six State House candidates were there.  Even the elusive Tom Price showed up to face off his Democratic opponent, Steve Sinton.  But where was Judson Hill?

It is the second time in two weeks that Judson Hill has missed the opportunity to speak to the people.  His opponent, RuthE Levy, was at both the PTA forum at Walton High School on October 17th and yesterday’s forum at St. Anne’s Church speaking about not raising taxes through unfunded mandates placed upon the schools, health care, and other issues of concern to local taxpayers.

Maybe Judson thinks he can pull a “Tom Price” and not appear.  His reasons for not coming were “business out of town,” yet he was seen the very next day at the capitol building.  Back in February, Hill also failed to appear after promising the Cobb County PTA he would be there for PTA Day at the Capitol.

Ms. Levy teaches full time at the Davis Academy and still managed to arrange her schedule to speak to the 50+ Club.  Further, she has been canvassing all over the district and has been very visible in the community, meeting people at clubs, churches and just waving at the passers by at major intersections.

Maybe Judson Hill doesn’t think he has to speak to the people, but RuthE Levy has demonstrated she is concerned about the needs of the people.
