You and I have heard the "Big Lie" so often, even we have started to believe it.  Listen in to the Sunday pundits and you'll see the right-wing media elite telling each each other (and us) that we Democrats have no plan, no agenda.  They say Democrats simply bad-mouth every Bush or Republican proposal, but have no agenda of their own.  Even main-stream reporters are taken in by the scam.  After all, their Sunday talk show guests all say the same thing.  It must be true.

What a bunch of horse manure!  Democrats have been proposing solutions to the insanity of the Busheviks for years.  John Kerry had a plan, back during the election of 2004, to get us well on our way out of Iraq by June of 2005.  John Murtha gave us a plan to get out now.  The Center for American Progress has a plan for strategic redeployment you can read here.  We also have ways out of the health-care crisis, restoring ethics back to government, improving public education.  Yet, to hear the pundits, we have been silent.  More horse manure!

We had and still have an agenda to get our State and Country back on track.  So why haven't we succeeded in implementing our plan?  Why?  Because the right-wing now controls most statehouses, most governorships, both houses of Congress, the Presidency, a majority on the Supreme Court and a growing majority on the lesser courts.  Now they control the media.  And still we have an out-of-control foreign policy, a war with seemingly no end, skyrocketing debt, jobs leaving the country, Katrina victims still waiting for FEMA trailers, and the list goes on.  Still they claim the Democrats are the problem.

No!  The Republicans are the problem.  The Democrats have the solutions.  Here is what we stand for:

• American jobs that will stay in America using energy independence to generate those jobs. 

• A strong national defense based on telling the truth to our citizens, our soldiers and our allies. 

• Honesty and integrity to be restored to government. 

• A health care system that works for everybody just like they have in thirty-six other countries. 

• A strong public education system so we can have optimism and opportunity back in America.

With the right-wing noise machine in charge of the media, we have only one way to implement our agenda.  We must work together to get the message out.  We must go door-to-door, make phone calls, write letters, support progressive Democratic candidates with our money and our time.  This is the year we must get started.  Join the East Cobb Democratic Alliance NOW! If you are not from East Cobb, join and contribute to your local Democratic Organizations and get active as well.  Volunteer to help with our campaigns, and show your Democratic colors. Hold house parties for our Democratic Candidates here in East Cobb, give to their campaigns.  We can do this if we work together.
