RuthE Levy -- Students Needed

Democrats are not born, they are raised and trained. While many of us talk to our children about our political beliefs, we also need to give our older children the opportunity to express their political beliefs and learn how to be political activists. Many high schools have Young Republican and Young Democrat clubs. If your child’s high school has such clubs, you should encourage your child to join and participate. If there is not a Young Democrat club at your local high school, you should advocate for one.
Through the Young Democrat Club, we can teach young people about Democratic values and the political process, not just how a vote goes from the House to the Senate, but how people can rise up from the grass roots to influence and determine the state of our local and national futures through running campaigns. These clubs need to partnered with our local Young Democrat groups to help with campaigns at all levels. Not only will these young people be helping with canvassing and planting signs, but they will become the candidates for tomorrow.
